Test List and Search
Virtually any test in Biochemistry, Hematology, Blood Bank, Immunology, Microbiology, Anatomical Pathology, Histology, Cytology and Genetics is available through HICL. Frequently requested tests are listed alphabetically in this Web site. Each listing includes:
- common and alternate test names
- an average number of working days required for results to be available after receipt of a specimen
- a description of patient preparation and specimen collection, storage and transportation requirements
- interpretation guidelines and reporting units
- conversion factor from traditional units to SI
Enzymes and hormones are listed under their full names; non-proprietary drug names, as listed in the current edition of the Compendium of Pharmaceuticals and Specialties are used. Numeric and Greek letter prefixes are ignored for the purpose of searching and sequencing tests in alphabetical order.
